The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Tuesday on a high note, gaining 0.57% or 28.10 pts to 4986.28 pts, nearing the level of 5000 pts.
Turnover was seen at AED 662.2 million as around 175 million shares traded through the execution of 4274 transactions. Moreover, a total of 32 companies traded on DFM today, of which 14 were in the green, 12 were in the red and 6 remained unchanged.
Market performance was mixed today as the real estate and transport sectors gained 1.64% and 0.37%, respectively, whereas the telecom, insurance, investment and banking sectors declined by 1.07%, 0.52%, 0.22% and 0.20%, respectively.
Mazaya topped market gainers after surging by 14.5%, followed by Emaar Properties, which added 3.14%. Meanwhile, Ekttitab led decliners, shedding 4.64%, followed by Al Salam Bank with a 3.47% decline.
Emaar Malls was the most active by volume, as 67.66 million shares traded. The Company ended Monday in the green after rising by 0.92% to AED 3.280. Emaar Properties came in second with 21.6 million shares traded. The stock gained 3.14% to AED 11.500.
